In Progress

It is your constant state. It defines everything about what you do. We are always moving to the next phase - a continuation of the last phase. We are in progress. You finish tasks, jobs, assignments but they don't cease. Another one always follows. There is a Haitian proverb which states that behind the mountains, are more mountains. Yet we scramble and scrap to get to an end. We strive toward the future in hopes it will alleviate our present. But our present is our only constant. Seneca says "the greatest hindrance to living is expectancy, which depends upon the morrow and wastes to-day." So I implore of you to live today, everyday.

By the way. This painting is in progress.
