
This John Lobb shoe is cut from one piece of leather in a spiral, then fashioned into a wearable piece of art. Incredible. Brought to my attention by the fine folks at
Mister Crew. Apparently it is not a new technique but it was certainly put to good use here.

Notice how the leather begins (or ends) just to the right of the laces, then twice wraps elegantly around the body of the shoe. I usually save my fawning for more utilitarian footwear but these are just perfect.
I never even looked for the price. But I would wager..........>$400.00
